TJRC mandate ends

Nairobi - Following the publication of its report on human rights, the Truth, Justice and Reconciliation Commission (TJRC) tenure has come to an end.
Capital News reports that the body was to be dissolved three months after submission of its report to the President, which it did on May 21, as per the Truth, Justice and Reconciliation Act.
Bethuel Kiplagat, who served as the commission's chair expressed his gratitude to the victims of historical injustices and human rights violations who came forward as they prepared the report.
