Nairobi - Nairobi senator Mike Sonko and women representative Rachel Shebesh both recorded statements in Nairobi over their gun drama in a Nairobi bar.
The two did so at the Kilimani Police Station in the early hours of Tuesday morning according to police sources.
Despite the earlier report that their respective bodyguards had gone in hiding, they too arrived at the station to record the statements.
" They both recorded statements in the morning. Sonko came first followed by Shebesh. All their body guards too recorded statements, the source that did not want to be named said.
It is understood that the two have blamed one another for the fracas that took place at a popular Nairobi bar Saturday night with both blaming the other for the incident.
" They are both pointing fingers at each other. We await the verdict, it added.
The statements came after Sonko had been grilled Monday evening after a warrant of arrest was issued against the two leaders for failing to honor police summons.
On Saturday, the two had recorded statements accusing each other of various crimes. Sonko was accusing Shebesh of failing to repay a KES 8.5 million Range Rover he bought her a few years ago, while Shebesh was accusing Sonko of assault.
