Shollei reveals woes with JSC commissioners

Nairobi - Judiciary Chief Registrar Gladys Shollei on Wednesday revealed to members of the national assembly that personal woes with three commissioners of the Judicial Service Commission led to her misconduct claims against her.
Daily Nation reports that Shollei appeared before the House committee on Legal Affairs and Administration of Justice following summons issued by the committee chairman, MP Samuel Chepkong’a, creating a rift between the Legislature and the Judiciary.
The JSC had also been ordered to appear before the committee on Thursday to explain their decision to suspend the Chief Registrar, although some members of the JSC had resolved not to honour the summons, citing separation of powers and political interference in the Judiciary.
