Shebesh: Kidero must apologise to Kenyan women

27 January 2014, 12:53

Nairobi - Nairobi County Women Representative, Rachael Shebesh, wants governor Evans Kidero, to publicly apologise to all women following allegations that he slapped her.

The two have been involved in bitter exchanges after the governor allegedly slapped the legislator outside his offices in September last year.

“I do not have to be taught forgiveness by brokers who tell me to forgive Kidero. Forgiveness is what my mother, who is a Reverend, taught me. I know how to forgive. In fact, women are the best forgivers but you should know what happened to me did not just happen to Shebesh, it happened to the women of Kenya. It happened to the women of Nairobi and I know why I am saying he (Kidero) should not ask  Shebesh for forgiveness but ask the women of Kenya too,” she said at a church service in Dandora.

Deputy President William Ruto attended the service.

Speaking on the same matter Nairobi Senator, Mike Mbuvi Sonko, called on the two leaders to end the ongoing impasse arguing that it jeopardized development agendas.
