Senators fight to protect devolution

Nairobi - The Standard reports governors and senators have said that Kenyans should go for a referendum to decide the fate of devolution in the country.
According to them, strict laws should be adopted to shield the devolved units.
They said they were angered by the recent move by President Uhuru Kenyatta to assent to the
contentious Division of Revenue Bill, which to them does not give
sufficient funds to the counties.
