Senate to hold special sitting to discuss anti terror laws
27 December 2014, 08:30
Nairobi - Senate Speaker, Ekwee Ethuro has recalled Senators from recess so they can discuss the controversial security laws.
The new Security Laws (Amendment) Bill, 2014 was passed by National Assembly last week in a stormy session that saw several opposition MPs thrown out of the chambers, some with tattered clothes.
The special sitting has been called following a request by Bungoma Senator Moses Wetang’ula, Daily Nation reports, arguing that they were excluded from the passage of the bill.
