Nairobi - The Salaries and Remuneration Commission (SRC) has rejected pay increase demands by Members of County Assemblies.
According to SRC chairperson, Sarah Serem, the commission cannot increase the pay for the county representatives since they were granted higher allowances, The Standard reports.
The county leaders get a total of KES 121,000 per month as allowances form the commission. It includes sitting, transport and airtime allowance.
