Nairobi - The Standard reports MPs have said that Deputy President William Ruto does not have powers to order for army deployment to areas hit by violence.
According to the MPs, Ruto's order was unconstitutional.
The MPs Aghostinho Neto (Ndhiwa), Chris Bichage (Nyaribari Chache) and Kenneth Okoth (Kibra) quoted section 241 of the Constitution saying the law clearly stipulated the process of deploying the military to areas hit by violence.
