Ruto sues CORD over Karen land grab claims

03 November 2014, 12:15

Nairobi - Five leaders from the Coalition for Reforms and Democracy have been sued over the statements they made linking Deputy President William Ruto to the Karen land grab scandal.

Ruto was last month linked to the land grab by Senators Johnson Muthama, James Orengo, Bonny Khalwale, Elizabeth Ongoro, and Suna MP Junet Mohamed, Daily Nation reported.

He denied ownership or awareness of the land and instructed his lawyers to sue the five leaders in seven days’ time if they did not offer an apology or retract their statements.
