Uasin Gishu - Deputy President, William Ruto, slammed former Prime Minister, Raila Odinga, over his remarks that alleged the military rigged last year’s polls in favor of the Jubilee alliance.
He termed such allegations as “reckless and irresponsible.”
He called on those alleging the last polls were rigged to table facts that would prove their allegations instead of engaging in “empty rhetoric.”
Ruto remained firm that attempts by the opposition to destruct the government would not succeed and exuded confidence that the government would remain steadfast and deliver to Kenyans as they promised during the run up to the general elections.
“We are focused, we are committed, we are serious and we know where to take this country and no amount of destruction or noise making is going to deter our vision to transform Kenya, we know what to do,” said Ruto while attending a church service at the Barnabus Kimumu Church in Uasin Gishu County.
He further challenged those criticizing the government to be truthful and have a basis for their criticism.
Ruto stated that the government would remain stable even as his case continuous at the International Criminal Court.
