Ruto seeks ICC waiver

Nairobi - Deputy President William Ruto wants the International Criminal Court (ICC) to waive his right to be present in person during the court proceedings, The Standard reports.
Though his lead counsel Karim A. A. Khan, Ruto has applied to be allowed to attend his trial via video link.
However, he said he will be present during the opening and closing of trial.
