Ruto refused to 'worship' Raila

Nairobi - Former minister of Higher Education, William Ruto has dismissed claims by Prime Minister Raila Odinga that he was the one who opted out of the Cabinet, Capital News reports.

The Eldoret North MP, Ruto spoke in Garbatulla at a fundraising for women instead said that Odinga refused to re-appoint him for refusing to play “hero worship” and sycophancy.

Ruto added that it was the premier who brought the United Democratic Movement (UDM) into the limelight by nominating Mogotio MP Hellen Sambili for appointment as minister and his only role in UDM has been to help the party develop.
