Nairobi - Deputy President William Ruto has denied media reports that the State House had taken over his financial budget while he was attending his trial at The Hague.
The Star had reported that Ruto was furious after realizing that he did not have control over his budget and that he would be required to seek approval from the State House for his expenditure.
A senior officer in the Office of the President was quoted as the source of the story.
However, Ruto denied the alleged claims and sent a statement to The Star asking it to quickly correct the erroneous impression it had created by publishing the story.
