Nairobi - Former Prime Minister and the Coalition for Reforms and Democracy (Cord) leader Raila Odinga Tuesday said they will follow the law in their push for a national referendum.
Raila who led other Cord leaders to campaign for Steven Kariuki, the Orange Democratic Movement candidate in the Mathare Constituency by-election said the coalition will collect five million signatures in two or three weeks to push for their course, Daily Nation reports.
He said their push for a referendum is unstoppable after the government failed to heed to their call for national dialogue.
The leaders from the coalition also asked the government to prepare itself to provide the funds that will enable Kenyans vote in the referendum.
Cord is calling for a referendum on issues related to devolution, corruption, security and elections.
