Nairobi - Former Prime Minister Raila Odinga wants the gunmen who attacked former Mungiki leader Maina Njenga and killed five people arrested.
Odinga, who was speaking when he visited Njenga at his Karen home, said the government knows the attackers but it has does not want to arrest them, The Standard reports.
He condemned the attack and called on the government to protect Njenga just like any other Kenyan.
He said if Njenga has committed any crime, he should be arrested and jailed if found guilty instead of trying to assassinate him.
Njenga said on Friday that was being targeted for having written a statement as a prosecution witness at the International Criminal Court (ICC) in President Uhuru Kenyatta’s case. (VIDEO: Njenga says he wrote statement with ICC)
