Raila on the spot on IEBC
22 March 2012, 08:02
Nairobi - Capital News reports that Prime Minister Raila Odinga was again on the spot on Wednesday after allegations emerged that he was coercing the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission(IEBC) to abandon its proposed March 4, 2013 poll date.
Led by Ndaragwa MP Jeremiah Kioni, a group of Members of Parliament demanded that the PM makes a public apology to the commission, saying it was unfortunate that he could be embroiled in such a scam.
During the press briefing at parliament, North Horr MP Chachu Ganya went on to add that the IEBC is an institution, and the PM has a duty to uphold and honour institutions which he took under this Constitution.
