Raila offers to testify in Ruto's case at ICC

Kisumu - Former Prime Minister Raila Odinga offered to testify for Deputy President William Ruto in his case at the International Criminal Court (ICC).
Speaking in Kisumu on Sunday, Raila said Ruto was yet to approach him to be his witness but if asked, he would to travel to The Hague based court to testify on behalf of the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM), in which Ruto was a key leader in 2007, Daily Nation reported.

Ruto welcomed Raila’s offer but said he has a competent legal team that is working hard to prove his innocence in the case against him at the ICC.
Ruto and journalist Joshua Sang are facing charges of crimes against humanity following the violence that erupted in the country after the disputed 2007 presidential election.
