Nairobi - CORD leader Raila Odinga and Kwale Governor Salim Mvurya will not press charges against the man who whipped them during a rally in Kwale on Monday.
In a statement, the two leaders said they will not apply for or file P3 forms that the prosecution requires to proceed with assault charges against Lengo Karisa Mudzomba.
“Instead, Governor Mvurya will seek out Mudzomba to understand his problems and motives,” Raila said on Wednesday.

Mvurya will also try to understand what was the provocation or the issue that the man wanted to protest against.
Raila appealed to Mudzomba to get in touch with the Kwale Governor's office where the matter can be solved amicably.
Raila said the governor is ready and expressed hope that Mudzomba will take up the offer to meet saying that would create a chance to look each other in the eye and understand one another.
Mvurya will stand in for Raila in any meeting with Mudzomba.
