Homa Bay - Former Prime Minister Raila Odinga has defended Siaya Senator James Orengo over claims that he illegally allocated public land to private companies in Lamu County when he was Lands minister.
Raila said the government should question former President Mwai Kibaki over the allocation of the land because he was the one who had the powers of allocating land, The Standard reports.
He said it was wrong for President Uhuru Kenyatta to direct Lands Cabinet Secretary, Charity Ngilu to revoke title deeds given to the 22 companies because such powers are only vested in the National Lands
