Raila condemns MPs' hefty send off perks

Nairobi - The MPs move to award themselves hefty gratuity payments has been condemned by Prime Minister Raila Odinga.

According to Daily Nation, Raila termed the move as a betrayal to Kenyan citizens and said he would advise President Kibaki to reject the package.

He said that the passage of these Bills amounts to treachery by Parliament adding that is an attempt by MPs to blackmail, arm twist and even bribe the Executive in order to have their way.
