Raila calls for calm over poll date
16 January 2012, 12:37
Nairobi - Daily Nation reports Prime Minister Raila Odinga said he will discuss with President Mwai Kibaki and agree on the date that the next general elections should be held in a bid to avoid keeping Kenyans anxious.
Odinga went on to add that the Committee on Coalition Management for both PNU and ODM will sit down and come up with a solution within the perimeter of the arrangement.
Raila was speaking at a funeral over the weekend, where he was accompanied by Otieno Kajwang Minister for Immigration who urged him not to dissolve the coalition saying this would leave room for PNU to rig the up coming elections.
