Raila: Uhuru is free to visit any part of Kenya
26 October 2014, 10:14
Kisumu - Former Prime Minister Raila Odinga has said he is not bothered by President Uhuru Kenyatta’s visits to areas perceived to be his strongholds.
Raila said the President is free to visit any part of the country by the virtue of being the leader of the nation, adding that he does not have an issue with the visits, Daily Nation reports.
He said people from the said regions pay taxes and national resources should be distributed equally as provided for in the constitution, therefore development should not be marketed as a favour to the people by the ruling coalition.

However, the former PM rubbished the notion of linking presidential visits to development, terming it a primitive political culture.
