Nairobi - Former Prime Minister Raila Odinga and former Vice President Kalonzo Musyoka spent more on foreign trips than what was spent on hiring Deputy President William Ruto's jet.
According to The Standard, the administration secretary in the DP's office, Abdul Mwaserrah, presented figures to a parliamentary committee investigating Ruto’s first foreign showing that the two spent millions in foreign travel while they were still in office.
The documents show that Raila spent KES 10.5 million on a three-day visit to Switzerland to attend the World Economic Forum, KES 5.8 million on a two-day visit in Turkey for the conference on Somalia, KES 26.9 million on a tour to the UK to attend the London Olympics and KES 18.8 million on an official visit to Malaysia and Korea.
