Raila-Kalonzo alliance alters the political scene in Machakos

Nairobi - The political scene in Machakos is changing shape with the new-found political alliance between Prime Minister Raila Odinga and Vice President Kalonzo Musyoka.

According to Daily Nation reports, before the PM and the VP reached a deal that saw the two join forces with Ford Kenya’s Moses Wetang’ula to form the Coalition for Reform and Democracy (Cord), the politics of the region was in a state of confusion.

Leading politicians were sending mixed signals to their supporters as Musyoka had been shunned by the G 7 Alliance whilst Charity Ngilu was courting the Jubilee Alliance of Uhuru Kenyatta and William Ruto.
