Nairobi - Daily Nation reports proposal to purchase a KES 700 million office building for former president Mwai Kibaki has been rejected by Parliament's Budget Committee.
According to the chairman of the Budget and Appropriations Committee of the National Assembly Mutava Musyimi, the Treasury should come up with other options that will not over-burden taxpayers.
Musyimi also questioned whether Treasury has exceeded spending the maximum amount on the office set by the law.
