Principal Secretary nominee faces varsity scandals

Nairobi - The Standard reports a Principal Secretary nominee is facing a university scandal where students were awarded degrees under doubtful circumstances.
The Presbyterian University of East Africa
(PUEA) has been hit by a series of financial, management and
academic scandals with Prof Japhet Ntiba Micheni chairing the university's council.
Micheni, who was nominated as Principal Secretary for Fisheries will this week face the parliamentary vetting
committee to seek clearance.
