01 July 2014, 13:09
Trans Nzoia - Jubilee politicians have asked President Uhuru Kenyatta to ban CORD’s planned Saba Saba rally scheduled for 7 July, 2014.
The politicians urged President Kenyatta to stop the rally saying CORD leaders were taking advantage of his generosity and humanity and the move could plunge the country into chaos, The Standard reports.
CORD leaders, led by former Prime Minister Raila Odinga have vowed to go on with the rally if the government fails to hold a national dialogue forum with them to discuss the challenges the country facing the country.
Raila has insisted that there be talks on a wide range of issues including ethnicity in public appointments, insecurity and corruption.
