Poll rigging claims against Kimemia dismissed

Nairobi - The Standard reports claims by a political alliance that Head of Public Service Francis Kimemia was involved in a scheme to rig polls in favour of Jubilee coalition have been dismissed by the police.
Kimemia and five other senior State officials, including Intelligence boss Michael Gichangi, Military Chief General Julius Karangi, were exonerated from ‘sensational’ accusations made by the Coalition for Reforms and Democracy (CORD) by Director of Criminal Investigations Mohamed Amin.
CORD had alleged a plot by the Public Service Head to rig the polls through the use of members of the Provincial Administration. Consequently, Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) Keriako Tobiko directed that the inquiry file on the allegations be closed without further action by police.
