Politicians urged to observe electoral rules

Nairobi - Daily Nation reports the United Nations has urged politicians vying for posts in the March polls to observe the rules and preach peace during their campaigns.

According to the United Nations Under Secretary-General for Political Affairs Jeffrey Feltman, politicians have an obligation to abide by the law and prevail upon their supporters to shun election-related violence.

Feltman was speaking speaking in Nairobi when he met the chairman of the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) Isaack Hassan.
