Politicians told to stop commenting on ICC cases

Nairobi - Political leaders have been told to stop commenting on the cases facing President Uhuru Kenyatta together with his deputy William Ruto at the International Criminal Court.
According to Joshua Kutuny, the Director of Political Affairs at the Office of the President, the matters at the court are very sensitive and therefore they should not be discussed or commented on by the leaders in public.
His remarks came days after Kericho senator Charles Keter accused some senior government officials of fixing Ruto in the cases and demanded that they resign or they be removed in office by force, Daily Nation reports.
Kutuny refuted the claims and asked leaders to refrain from issuing unverified statements that may cause anxiety in the Jubilee government.
Ruto also asked the leaders to stop such talks and instead focus on the citizens needs.
