Parliament set to discuss ICC motion

Nairobi - A motion seeking to have Kenya withdrawn from the Rome Statute will be discussed in Parliament when MPs hold a special sitting on Thursday.
MPs affiliated to the Jubilee alliance want to pull Kenya out of the Rome Statute that established the International Criminal Court (ICC) where President Uhuru Kenyatta, his deputy William Ruto and former radio presenter Joshua Sang are facing charges in relation to 2007/8 post election violence, Daily Nation reports.
ICC has however dismissed the MPs move saying that the cases facing the three would still continue even if they succeed in pulling Kenya out of the Rome Statute.
