Parliament approves KES 210bn county funds

Nairobi - Capital News reports county governments will be allocated KES 210 billion to fund their operations after Parliament approved amendments to increase their budget allocation.
The allocation was increased from KES 198 billion which had earlier been proposed by the Treasury.
Leader of Majority Coalition in the National Assembly Aden Duale explained the amendment comes after the Commission on Revenue Allocation (CRA) and the national treasury reached a consensus on the funds.
