ODM lays ground for party primaries

13 November 2012, 11:33

Nairobi - The Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) has completed a week-long visit to all the 47 counties to collect and collate information on how best the party primaries can be done and also set a new date for the process.

According to the Standard, the party’s National Elections Board (NEB) Chairman Henry Muthee Kathurima also disclosed that ODM Independent County Elections Supervisory Panels, which will consist of religious leaders and private stakeholders, will be formed to assist his board to undertake free, fair and peaceful party nominations.

He said he has sent out ODM’s NEB Commissioners to meet party officials and aspirants in order to harmonise and educate them on the party nomination rules, while strictly adhering to the Independent Elections and Boundaries Commission’s new national rules.
