No plans to impeach Isaac Ruto
26 July 2013, 17:03
Nairobi - Claims that there are plans to impeach governor Isaac Ruto through the county assembly have been dismissed by Bomet county representatives over his criticism of the Jubilee government.
The representatives led by Julius Korir, the majority leader, dismissed the reports as misplaced and malicious, and told The Standard that they were fully behind Ruto in his bid to ensure the success of devolution.
Speaking to the media on Friday, Korir went on to add that they are agents of devolution and are proud to be associated with the governor in his fight for full devolution of government functions and increased funding to the counties.
