Ndichu blames Kabogo of plotting his downfall

Kiambu - Impeached Kiambu County Speaker, Nick Ndichu has accused Governor, William Kabogo, of orchestrating his impeachment through propaganda and bribery of Members of County Assembly.
Ndichu has denied any wrongdoing saying that the allegations of abuse of office, including single sourcing of legal services in the county, were a witch-hunt hatched by the governor in order to hunt him out of office.
He alleged that some Members of the County Assembly aligned to Kiambu had confided in him that Kabogo was behind his downfall.
“It is a political propaganda, a plan orchestrated by dark forces to engineer my impeachment without any tangible reason,” said Ndichu.
Ndichu added that he would not mind if the same process had been conducted without the alleged accompanying propaganda.
He has become the first speaker to be impeached in less than a year since he came into office.
He however said that he might be the “first to be impeached but promised that he might not be the last” saying that there was a lot of ground for creation of vendetta and impeachment for alleged selfish reasons.
Ndichu said that the governor targeted him because he worked closely with all leaders in the county irrespective of their political alliances, an issue which he said “rubbed the governor the wrong way.”
On the way forward, Ndichu has not shown any desire to challenge the impeachment in court yet but he however said that he was proud to have worked for the people of Kiambu County.
