Namwamba says he won't quit ODM polls
12 February 2014, 08:22
Nairobi - Budalangi MP Ababu Namwamba said on Tuesday that nothing will stop him from vying for ODM’s secretary general post when the party will be holding elections for its leaders.
He dispelled claims believed to have come from some ODM members that he was a mole in the party saying it is the delegates who will decide the party leaders when they meet at Kasarani on 28 February, Daily Nation reports.
Namwamba will fight for the seat with nominated senators Agnes Zani and Elizabeth Ongoro.
His sentiments come a day after the party held a retreat in Naivasha, where some members were accused of being moles from the ruling Jubilee coalition.
Some candidates vying for different posts had earlier on complained that party leader Raila Odinga was favoring some candidates in the elections.
