Muturi dismisses CIC warning on MPs pay rise

Nairobi - The Standard reports Commission on the Implementation of the Constitution (CIC) warning over personal responsibility should MPs get higher salaries has been dismissed by Speaker of the National Assembly Justin Muturi.
In its reference to the Parliamentary Service Commission, CIC warned public officer who may irregularly adjust salaries of State officers.
CIC on Sunday warned that any public officer who makes an unlawful payment of a salary/or benefit to a State officer contrary to the determination of SRC will be personally responsible for making good the loss occasioned by such an illegal payment.
