Mudavadi: Khalwale's support for Wetang'ula is personal

18 November 2013, 10:29

Kakamega - Kakamega senator Boni Khalwale’s decision to support Moses Wetangula in the upcoming Bungoma senatorial by-election is personal and does not represent Amani Coalition’s stand, says Musalia Mudavadi.

Khalwale, who declared his support for Wetang'ula, who lost the seat in a court petition, said, former minister Musikari Kombo, who is also vying for the seat, was a Jubilee government’s project and therefore he won’t support him, The Standard reports.

However, the coalition’s leader, Musalia Mudavadi said they had decided to support Kombo and that Khalwale has a democrativ right to support Wetangula.

The by-election is set for December 19, 2013.
