Matemu new graft boss

02 December 2011, 12:21

Nairobi - According to Daily Nation reports, Kibaki and Raila have settled for Mumo Matemu to lead the war against corruption.

Matemu, a former Kenya Revenue Authority Commissioner and his deputies Jane Onsongo (who held the same position at the defunct Kenya Anti-Corruption Commission (KACC) and Irene Keino (former deputy chairperson of KACC’s advisory board.) now await vetting from parliament to start work at the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC).

If cleared by Parliament, Matemu will be the third head of the agency in two years after two former directors, Mr Aaron Ringera and Prof Patrick Lumumba were kicked out by Parliament.
