MPs use loophole to increase salaries
27 August 2013, 17:21
Nairobi - MPs have decided to hold unnecessary and uncontrolled sittings of the committees to have their monthly salaries increased.
This comes after the Salaries and Remuneration Commission (SRC) agreed not to limit the number of meetings that an MP can attend in a week, The Star reports.
The MPs are now holding numerous committee meetings outside Nairobi at the expense of taxpayers money.
