MPs to approve their pay increase
28 May 2013, 08:19
Nairobi - The Standard reports MPs are set to approve their salary increment, despite the efforts by the Salaries and Remuneration Commission (SRC) to reduce their perks.
Last week, the MPs agreed not to adjourn sittings until they were sure that they get increased salaries. They will today hurriedly pass a report that they believe will legally overturn what was set by SRC so they can get more money.
The Committee on Delegated Legislation processed the report within hours last Wednesday after being freshly constituted.
