Nairobi - MPs want Kenyan security agencies overhauled because they have not been able to counter terrorism activities in the country.
According to the MPs, the National Intelligence Service (NIS) should be restructured to be able to deal with terrorist groups such as Al-Shabaab, Daily Nation reports.
Led by the chairman of the Parliamentary Committee on Administration and National Security, they said the Westgate shopping mall attack was a direct assault on the country’s national security and it should be restructured.
