Nairobi - Daily Nation reports civil society members have asked Members of Parliament who are dissatisfied with the pay set by the salaries commission not to take oath of office and seek other jobs instead.
They warned the politicians against interfering with the work of the Salaries and Remuneration Commission, saying it was working within its constitutional mandate.
According to some of the newly-elected MPs, they are planning to bring a motion that will seek to disband the commission if it insists on reducing the salaries of the lawmakers.
