MPs accompany Ruto and Sang to The Hague

Nairobi - Twenty one MPs skipped the four-day Parliamentary induction workshop to accompany Deputy President William Ruto and Joshua Sang to The Hague to attend the start of their trial.
The MPs, six from the United Republican Party (URP), 13 from The National Alliance (TNA), one from the United Democratic Front (UDF) and one from the Wiper Democratic Movement (WDM) accompanied Ruto and Sang to give them moral support as their trial against humanity charges starts on Tuesday, Daily Nation reports.
Initially, a group of 80 MPs had agreed to travel with Ruto to The Hague sparking public outcry that they were going to spend public funds.
