Kisii - Bomachoge Borabu MP Simon Ogari has said Cord will oppose leader of majority in parliament Adan Duale’s motion seeking to pull Kenya out of the Rome Statute.
The MP also dismissed calls to have Parliament resume its sittings earlier than scheduled to debate on the cases facing President Uhuru Kenyatta and his deputy William Ruto at the International Criminal Court, The Standard reports.
According to Ongari, the Constitution clearly states that Speaker of Parliament should assume the duties of the president and his deputy when they will be attending the hearing of their trials at The Hague.
