MP Waititu out on KES 1m cash bail

Nairobi - Embakasi MP Ferdinand Waititu has been released on a KES 1 million shilling cash bail, after Senior principal magistrate Paul Biwott ordered him to report to the Kayole Police Station every Monday.
During the ruling the magistrate also ruled that the prosecution can prefer more charges including murder against the MP, Daily Nation reports.
On Thursday, Waititu who had to answer to two counts of incitement of violence, was detained at the Kileleshwa Police Station, and was suspended as assistant minister following consultations between President Mwai Kibaki and Prime Minister Raila Odinga.
