Nairobi - Murang’a County leaders want the Jubilee government to compensate a former opposition leader, Kenneth Matiba for the role he played in making Kenya democratic.
Speaking to Daily Nation, area women representative Sabina Wanjiru Chege said that Matiba lost all his wealth and succumbed to ill health during his fight for multiparty democracy in Kenya during the Kanu regime and deserves some compensation.
Chege noted that the ex-Kiharu MP and former opposition leader urgently needs medical assistance as his family is struggling to handle the medical bills.
