Gatundu - The National Alliance (TNA) party has been asked to crack the whip on its governors and Members of County Assemblies who are support calls for a national referendum to have county fund increased.
According to the party’s Gatundu South parliamentary candidate, Moses Kuria, the governors and MCAs should be loyal to the party that supported them in last year’s polls and stop criticizing the Jubilee government, The Standard reports.
Kuria urged the governors to set foot on development projects instead of fighting with the national government.
Governors have vowed to push for a national referendum to have the money allocated to counties increased.
They want the amount increased from the current minimum of 15% national revenue to 45%.
