Nairobi - A Nairobi court has summoned political activist Moses Kuria over alleged hate speech on Facebook.
He is set to appear in court on Thursday after the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) Keriako Tobiko ordered his prosecution over alleged incitement and hate speech, Daily Nation reports.
Kuria is one of the candidates who are interested in vying for the Gatundu South parliamentary seat, which fell vacant after the death of Joseph Ngugi Nyumu.
Last week, the DPP also summoned 18 MPs and Senators allied to both the Jubilee and CORD coalitions over alleged hate speech remarks.
