Kiyiapi hits out at his rivals over tribal unions

04 December 2012, 08:12

Bomet - Presidential hopeful James ole Kiyiapi has censured his rivals for allegedly forming tribal political alliances and sharing key government slots even before emerging as winners in the polls.

According to Daily Nation, he said that, there was need for presidential aspirants to approach the exercise with soberness and give the people the opportunity to decide their next President instead of ‘hijacking’ the process.

The Restore and Build Kenya party leader said he was opposed to the formation of tribal alliances and challenged leaders to embrace democracy and let the people choose their preferred leaders irrespective of the tribe.
